about me

i am a stay-at-home mommy to two little cuties. before our son was born, my husband and i did a bit of research looking into "greener" ways to parent. one of the things we decided very early on was that we would give cloth diapering a try. most of our friends thought we were totally crazy. i got a lot of "good luck with that"s. nate ended up being born five weeks premature so the early days with him were kind of crazy to say the least. as we eventually settled into a routine, we finally felt ready to take the plunge into cloth diapering. by the time nate turned 6 months old, we started cloth diapering almost full-time and we've never looked back. i decided to start this blog in early 2010 in hopes of building a community of other green-minded parents and also to share great products i've found while researching for my own family. the newest addition to our family joined us in oct 2011. since we were already comfortable with cloth diapering, our girl was cloth diapered from almost day one and i can tell you that cloth diapering a newborn is not as hard as you'd think. in fact, it's down right easy!

my newest venture is an online store (which officially launched in late 2010) with a focus on planet-friendly products for the whole family. please check it out at www.mylilsweetpea.ca.

if you have any amazing green products you'd like to share, please email me at:
ecoparentblog [at] gmail [dot] com. this blog is PR-friendly and i would love to do a review of your eco-friendly product or feature your green minded business. please contact me for further details.
